k-sea

K-Sea AKA Casey Dougall, started his career with Trip-Hop and Acid Jazz back in the mid 90s, when living out in Denver CO. Moving back to NY in 1998 K-Sea was traveling frequently up to Vermont, Snowboarding and working for Hayes Brothers Snowboards. He quickly met up with Slacka and formed Green Mountain Junglists. At that time K-Sea was looking for a change of pace and Slacka had been working up a solid collection of Jungle and Drum & Bass. It didn't take K-Sea long to realize these were the sounds he was looking for. He's been focusing in that arena ever since. Vermont proved to be a great stomping ground for the tag team, blowing up parties and clubs with their Jungle sounds was as common as snow guns blanketing Mountain trails we all know so well on the East Coast. K-Sea moved up to Stratton Vermont in 2002 and continued to work with Slacka perfecting their tag team style. K-Sea eventually moved back to Saratoga Springs and met up with Midas of Sub-Bombin in 2007. The two started doing Jungle/Hip-Hop Mash-Up sets on 4 Decks. Hearing the fantastic tunes sub-bombin produces has proved to be a great influence for K-Sea. Look out for some sub-bombin compliation sets mixed by K-Sea in mid 2008.
